Highlights include:
NWT Power Corporation / SSI Joint Venture won the Next Generation Solution Award at the Canadian Information Productivity Awards (CIPA) in 2000.
SSI's satellite network was the first of its kind to be built in Canada and fifth in the World.
The Qiniq Network was awarded at the Wireless Communications Association (WCA) for provisioning underserved communities with NLOS broadband wireless technology in 2005.
SSI was the first in Canada to launch a Wireless NLOS Broadband Network. Our network has since expanded, offering services in over 60 locations in Northern Canada.
In 2006 Qiniq was named "Business of the Year" by the Baffin Chamber of Commerce at the Nunavut Business Achievement Awards.
In 2005 QINIQ was designated as an "Intelligent Community" by the Intelligent Community Forum, a New York based think tank.
In 2008 SSIMICRO.COM wins the Best Internet Service Provider Website award at the Web Marketing Asociation's Web Awards.

Kativik Regional Government Satellite Network A 14 site network designed for the Kativik Regional Government in Nunavik (Northern Quebec) Canada. |

Care International Voice and Data Network SSI built a twelve site network located in Zambia and Kenya for Care International. The network was established primarily to provide their remote workers with reliable communications between sites and to their head office in Canada. |

Skyline Wireless NLOS Broadband SSI Micro was the first in Canada to launch this state of the art Broadband Internet Service. Widely successful the service is now available in 60 Northern Communities. |

Global Development Group – Emergency Relief New Years Eve 2004, SSI was contacted by the Global Development Group to deploy a mobile broadcast system in Banda Aceh and Jakarta to assist emergency relief in Indonesia. |

Telecom Services Kiribati Limited Satellite Network/ISP SSI supplied a complete turn key ISP system to TSKL located in Kiribati , an island nation located in the central tropical Pacific Ocean straddling the equator. Kiribati is comprised of 33 atolls dispersed over 3,500,000 square kilometers. |
